We are so saddened by the loss of this great stallion.
Cool Scotch had become the cornerstone to our breeding
program…and we always looked forward to our Scotch babies the most! Cool Scotch
had a way of passing on the Very Best of himself to his foals. There was no
mistaking a baby by Scotch with his gorgeous tiny head and great attitude. We
bred with Scotch every year not only for the incredible foals we were blessed
to receive, but also because of the care and commitment of the Cool Scotch
family. It is rare that one horse can have such an impact…but Scotch did just
that. His owners, Steve and Shirley Dernehl will always be dear friends. If
anyone was ever meant to be stallion owners, they were! God blessed them with
the gift of Cool Scotch, then He blessed us all with the gift of the Steve and Shirley as his breeders.
Todd and Kerri McGilvray managed Cool Scotch and his breeding
program and you could not ask for better people. Always on top of things and
gave their all to Scotch. Todd heroically tried to save Cool Scotch that day and that
will not be forgotten. We thank them for all the did for us and for Scotch over the years.
Cool Scotch gave us our first Champion mare…Cowgirl
Cool who finished her show career with over 100 PHBA halter points and multiple ROM's in open and amateur. We decided last fall that Millie would become a permanent part of our family.
Millie looks just like her daddy and we can only hope she will pass on her Best
to her foals as her father did to her. Millie will be bred in 2007 for her first foal. We feel so honored to have raised these gorgeous foals by Scotch.
We will always love and miss you Scotch….thanks for all you
have done for us.
